“Self”

The inspiration for this piece stems from a late-night conversation with a friend discussing my insomnia experience.

My objective is to convey the feeling of physical exhaustion coupled with an inability to find rest, as if immersed in a hallucination where the items in the room transform into distorted shapes, deviating from their original forms.

In this piece, I aim to capture the torment of insomnia, where the body feels profoundly weary, yet the mind remains unsettled in the quietude of the night. The visual illusions blur the boundaries between dream and reality. The distortion of objects not only reflects the torment of insomnia but also explores the limits of the psyche under fatigue.
